African Heritage and Health(AAH) Week begins Black History Month celebration by helping communities in the U.S. celebrate healthy African, African American/Caribbean cuisines during AAH Week. The premise for the week is to help African Americans see how healthy eating can help lower the risk of chronic health diseases, achieve a healthy weight, and promote overall well-being. The goal of the virtual run is to promote the value of increased physical activity and healthy diet in the primary prevention and or reduction of chronic disease risk.
